I've been seeing those "CAN'T" billboards all over town and now I see it here on the banner ads and it appears to be a new campaign for the Commonwealth bank.
An old colleague of mine used to say.... Of all the people, there are Cans and there are Can'ts
Don't be a Can't !!!!
:D Great campaign Commbank, can't wait to see what happens next !

Double page spread in todays Melbourne Herald Sun , same Commonwealth Bank thing,
If I was a customer of theirs I'd be furious - how the hell can they waste your money like that.
If my Bank ever makes me hate them so much that Im forced to change theres now way I'll ever go to commonwealth , not in this lifetime anyway !!

CBA
I've been with them for most of my life.. had the school bank account and all that.
Worked for them for 7 years too. (When I quite they recalculated my fees for that month to ensure I didn't get a single day "fee free" as staff. Bastards. Should have changed then.
Then I had a home loan with them for 12 years.
But they have from time to time done things that really ****ed me off, like hitting me with a fee or stuffing me around over 1 day late of something etc. Plus a number of times they charged fees incorrectly that I had to complain about to get a refund !
Anyway I finally got off my fat lazy arse and changed to ME Bank, and so far so good,

Hey Vlad, I worked for them for ten years between 1984-94. We might have crossed paths at some stage.

Talk about false advertising.
Left them for UBank about 8 months ago. Best thing I ever did. Currently UBanks caparision rate is 5.83%, beat that:D

I hope the person you dealt with was better than ours who stuffed up our loan from day one. Come to think of it, every other person we've spoken on the phone has stuffed up in one way or another too.
Once our 12mths is up, we'll be going back to the Commonwealth for the last little bit of the loan.

its not the customers money its their money to waste they made from their customers.
BTW gentlemen, there is only one bank (as I am told) in the whole of Australia which is not owned by the big 4 banks. I speak of course of the MECU bank
bankmecu - Australia's First Customer Owned Bank | bankmecu - responsible banking (http://www.bankmecu.com.au/)
I am with this bank because they dont have SHAREHOLDERS, or to put it another way, they do, but the shareholders are their customers, each customer much buy a share much like a credit union. So in serving their customers they are also sharing their shareholders, and the shareholders get a say in the company ( a tiny tiny say). Anyway all their profits go back into lowering fees. I think its a great bank compared with what else is out there.

I've been with MECU since they merged with uni credit union, and I'd been with uni credit union for years. I've never had a problem with them, and I love not having outrageous fees.

agreed on the outrageous fees, I also was with the credit union for years, amazing service. Imagine calling up the bank and them knowing your voice!!! Anyway speaking of fees, what are they? MECU does not charge me to use their services except extras like credit cards which costs from memory about 50c a month. I can only laugh at all the people getting ripped by the bigger rip off merchants.

All you have to do to eliminate fees etc is become an owner...an investor in the bank....just like you do with the credit union....I'm happy being an investor in the bank(not CBA) and happy to see the bank make good profits. Banks really provide an excellent service to their customers and if you're not getting the service you expect , have a candid chat to a bank official, they WILL try to help you. Whinging on a forum will do nothing for you.
