My wife's Astra has developed a clunk in the front suspension. The mechanic says there is wear in the top of the Mcpherson struts. What could the problem be and how easy to fix? Jim

if it is the strut insulator he is talking about, then strut out, strip and reassemble with new insulator, and wheel align. about .75 to 1 hour per side.
