Sick of pumping up a flat once a week.
Removed the tyre to find a bit of rust and old perished tubes.
Decided to repaint the 4 wheels. Before I fit new tubes.
In it's past life this series II was a fire tender, inside of the rims nice and red.
What was the standard colour for normal SWB rims please?

No standard colour for UK assembled SII which a factory fire engine is likely to have been, in Australia a 109 was usually grey and an 88 were deep bronze green. Only the later SIIa had white or limestone coloured rims.

Being a fire tender they would have been Red.
The rest depends on your personal preference and how You want your vehicle to be. It is either body colour or a contrast colour, normally White.
White goes well if your roof is also white, but body colour goes well too.
Personal choice really. Leave the inside red, paint the outers white as it is easy to do, if you don't like it, spray over it.

Are you the new owner of MickS's Basil? Bought from Southern Sydney via Ebay, 2.25P with upswept exhaust, swivel recovery points on bumper, zebra hardtop...?
