I've got an 02 110 wagon but most of the issues/options are the same.
From 03 on they had the weaker rover diff so you would want to make it stronger, ashcroft,Maxi/hy-tuff(aussie made in Qld), rovertracks GBR etc. Maybe a diff lock at the same time as the 130 has no TC.I have the salisbury which is the stronger of the 2 but still put in hy-tuff axles with the detroit in the rear.
There is the EGR valve which is a cheap fix then silicone hoses. And egr bypass will cost around 100-130 with a steel plate and pipe to remove the egr valve and cover the hole in exhaust manifold.
Other options include flow through exhaust, bigger intercooler and depending upon year your 130 can either be flash tuned or earlier models needed a chip. Have a look at the pommy supliers as they have tons of gear which you can spend $$$$ on. Paddocks devon, terrafirma, gwyn lewis, rimmers. Buy a LR monthly or owner mag and see the ads. Just watch postage and keep it under 1k. There is also lucky 8 in the states.
All 4x4 in newcastle is also helpful for parts as well as rovercraft, mulgo (talk to daniel he is very helpful) and les richmond for specialist bits.

All depends upon the year
Start with EGR then remove CAT if it has one then replace the Centre muffler with a free flow unit.
Then Chip it , I fitted a larger intercooler and noticed a little difference but nothing compared to the combination of the others.
I have an unused Toombie tune that I could sell to you just need a Nanocom to put it in your ECU.

Thanks for the info,i havent yet settled on a vehicle, i am still in the process, but the model that iam keen on is the 2003 TD5 130 single cab. I have been researching the intercoolers and exhaust, and what chips are recommended? The more info i can gain about anything to do with landrovers the better as i am in the market for the first time.
