Is it just me or do you get the feeling that Land Cruiser owners feel they have something to prove when they see an old RR in front of them.
I had a few KNOBS last weekend feel the need to needlessly over take on the Bells line rd and then hold things up.
Had another one in a late model cruiser this after noon coming home on the same rd, he didnt get past as the old girl was growling up the hills.
400 k run last week end and again today.
Damage report today 1 Hilux with a snapped tie rod on the power lines track.
Another Hilux with a stuffed tail shaft.
1 bogged Cruiser and 1 bogged Patrol.
I lost my rear window upper trim, it just fell off out near Newnes

Cracked my rear tail pipe:(

I find that all the lads in V8 100 series cruisers want to drag race from the lights... Shame that when low range comes around their 20" bling rims don't seem to perform! Not that I've ever lost a traffic light battle to one though ;-)

Cheers

I haven't pushed the big girl that far, I've done 45 and thought it was time for high range haha!

Ditto that, since driving the p38 i've noticed it a lot more. I usually just ignore it, but occasionally i'll leave them at the lights.

The funny thing is, if you don't feel threatened then you've got nothing to prove; it's still the Rangie they're comparing it against..... again.

Do they? One hadn't really ever noticed anyone trying to drag one orf, but then one can't really recall seeing any other non LR 4wds, they don't really stand out do they? One shall pay more attention from now on - What-O! ;)

In the background, visible past the vintage Bentley in the foreground, is what a real Queen drives.

Except that the Royal Bentley in the picture happens to be made out of plasticine, - I kid you not. The vintage Bentley is the real deal, the 1929 Olympia Motor Show display car. Picture was taken at the Heritage Museum at the Bentley Motor Factory in Crewe, England.

Neither of them would be much good at a traffic light derby

However, the Continental GT with a twin turbo W12 engine is a different story, 2 and a half tonnes of rocket ship, with 4wd
