Hi all, there has been a few references in other threads about aftermarket recovery points available and there suitability and rating (if any) etc. ARB's new rated points have been mentioned, particularly because of the slot design to allow the bow part of the shackle to go through the recovery point to better cater for angled recoveries.
Well.. i went to the Caravan and Camping show in brissy today and noticed ARB demoing the recovery points using shackles with the pin through the recovery point, making the whole exercise near pointless!
The points themselves looked the goods though, the big differences i noticed between them and points that are for sale for disco's for example is:
-ARB ones were twice the thickness
-ARB ones had fixings through 2 axis
By the sounds of it no one should hold their breath for any suitible for Rovers. Only currently available for 4 models (all current shape Japs)
