I currently have 5x standard 18" wheels on my 2003 Range Rover HSE which are wearing new Cross Contact A/T 255/60/R18 4 of which have what i believe to be less then 10K on them and a brand new spare... with a rough new value of $400 (according to local supplier)

I am aware of the fact that the second a set of tyres are fitted they lose value... However i am in the market for a set of either 19" or 20" stormer wheels simply because i prefer the look of them...

The reason i am writing this is once i have changed the wheels over i will no longer need the A/Ts and would be looking to sell however i am not really sure on what the value of my wheel/tyre combination would be... ;)

Sorry Mods if i am not allowed to ask this as it comes across as self advertising in the wrong area? but i am just looking for a fair price for both... :)

Kind Regards, James.

It all depends on who wants what at the time. I paid $730 +$200 freight for 4 split 5 spoke rims with near new goodyear road tyres. Also paid $440 for 4 splint spoke rims , no tyres. Couild have had the tyres but wrong size. Both 18" from ebay. Also from ebay 4 splint 5 spoke rims for $200. Someone on here very lucky????

New rim from LR $750+++ each So what you have for sale would be worth about $5750 if new.

I was happy with what I paid for my first set. The person who paid $200 got a bargain. Grrrr

It all depends on how much your willing to sacrifice them for

James - unfortunately there are plenty of people doing what you are wanting to do or going the other way and getting 17" wheels to put their muddies on. I did that just last week acquiring 4 17" BMW wheels for $175. I am going to put muddies on them the same rolling dia as my original 18" so I don't have to replace my spare. I will either stay with the 18" for day to day use or if the 17" are OK for everyday use I will use the 18" for my camper. Haven't decided yet.

If you check on ebay you will see plenty of 18" selling there for far less than you would think they are worth - likewise there are plenty for big dollars that don't sell.

Sell by all means but don't be too optimistic about price but also look to see if they can be used for something else like a camper so that you have options when going offroad.

Cheers
