I have a 2000 4.6 with a cracked exhaust manifold. The D166 service action from LR (attached here from RR.net (http://www.rangerovers.net/forum/7-range-rover-mark-ii-p38/26952-rh-exhaust-manifold-part.html#post267331)) shows my VIN number affected, but when I call the dealer in Brisbane, he says there is nothing for my VIN.
I have purchased a set of headers from Linn Rovers in WA, and am getting a local mechanic to install them. I am concerned the job will get screwed up and cause other problems. Anyone understand why this D166 UK service action isnt applicable here? I am hesitant to do the job myself do to alloy head bolts and tools and access etc.
Any SE-Qld mechanics on AULRO want the job one day next week instead of my local mechanic perchance?
