Help! Need my diffs back!!

Hi guys,

Need the diffs back for my jalopy!

Its a 1968 S2B with an early county front end and an ENV rear.

I dropped my diffs off to a repairer in October 2010 and am yet to see them come back.

I have asked for a full upgrade including strengthening, maxi drives etc however I continue to get excuses about when they will be finished.....

I dropped off a salisbury rear also to replace the ENV so yes, its a big job but 2 years????

Anyone got any ideas?

What excuse could they possibly have for taking 2 years to do this job? - "We don't have a clue what we are doing" or "We have sold them on Ebay" are the only ones I can think of.

Have you asked for them back? If they refuse, you should have some legal recourse...

Is it permissable to name and shame the repairer on Aulro? If so this thread should be moved to the correct S2a-2B forum, or better still, Tech or Genera Chat.

Bill.No it's not permissable to name and shame the vendor on AULRO.

If you want to name and shame, go to a website like "Not Good Enough" then name and shame to your hearts content.

As for your diffs. Make a complaint with the Motor Traders Association and or NSW Fair Trading or the ACT equivalent depending where the vendor is located. Your demands are that you require the components returned and you will have them finished by a repairer who is prepared to do the work in a reasonable timeframe.

We have a number of repairers here in Sydney who will do what you need and can likely arrange for them to be brought up by a mate, or I'm even prepaired to come down with my trailer and bring them up to Sydney for you.

Thanks for your feedback.

There was no intention to name and shame.

Should nothing come to fruition by end July I will go and pickup whatever state.

Diana, could you send me the details of the Sydney guys you would recommend I talk to?
