Hi
My LWB Hard Top 109 3.9 diesel stage one is currently wearing 'Monroe' gas shocks and I'm not impressed with these items at all. Not quite sure if shocks are meant to be shocking as such but these things are horrid.
I've been searching around for a bit trying to find out what options there are for quality shock absorbers, availability in Australia. I'm finding that quite a few of the local suspension businesses here in and around the ACT are not keen to get back to me in a hurry- maybe they don't need my business who knows. I've been after Bilstein for my 130 and had Koni heavy track on my 110 3.9D (now gone). I'd prefer Bilstein can't seem to get them for the series car...
1. What sort of shock absorbers would you recommend- What are your preferences?
2. is there a consensus that polyurethane spring bushing is better (or not as good as) the old rubber-steel bush setup at the spring eyelets and chassis shackle arms?
