I picked up my car from the mechanic after having the engine mounts, injector harness, exhaust manifold gasket changed and manifold machined and front disk pads done.
I get about 15 - 20 km's down the road when my car chews up and spits out the accessories belt. It is a 2000 discovery II TD5 and the belt would only be 20 - 30 thousand km's old.
Is this merely a coincidence or is there a chance some damage has been caused to the belt with the above mentioned work?
I don't believe there is any intent on the mechanics part as I am due to spend another large sum of money with him again next week.
I only travelled about 400 meters max before finding a place to pull over, no racing of engine etc, could there be any other damage that this could cause my engine?
Thanks
