View Full Version : How much space between headliner and roof in a Defender?

Ive got the Puma's roof lining out after chasing a leak (rare, I know) and have decided that while its out I'll stick a 10mm thick foam sheet ontop of the roof lining for a bit of added sound deadening and insulation.
Before going ahead I want to make sure the lining will fit when its time to put it back. Does anyone have any idea roughly how much space I've got to play with?

Should be ok, there is a rib that is at least that deep. Might have to avoid covering the rib although I suspect that there is enough room for 10 mm sheet of insulation even on the rib.
Oops Puma might be a bit different as I think they use a molded liner as opposed to the earlier stretched vinyl
