landy county v8 ignition switch

hi the landy ignition switch turns to far and grinds start motor. Does the ignition switch need to be replaced and pulled off the steering column or is there an easier way....

Sounds like the ignition switch has passed it's used by date. Yes, to remove you have to unbolt it from the steering column. The factory bolts are shear type so there will be nothing to grip - use a centre punch and hammer to remove. Have fun!
