Wooyung, Brunswick Heads - good day drives?

HI all

Heading up to stay at Wooyung ( just north of Byron Bay) in a few weeks. Taking the disco with the idea of doing a bit of exploring and maybe 4wding while there for the week.

Can anyone suggest any good 4wd destinations in that neck of the woods?

I know this is an old post but I was just wondering as we will be visiting Brunswick in the middle of January, did you manage to find any?

I think the complete lack of response to my post said it all. There are some nice scenic/tourist drives to do but all the interesting tracks had locked gates on them.
So no great incentive to go too far from the beach!

As Linds said, there are nice touristy drives, and Brunswick Heads is a lovely place (less yuppy than Byron), but you have to go further to get a decent 4WD drive.
If you get a good map and look to the west there are some scenic drives around Nimbin.
