Good Morning I have a 1961 series 2a, swb.4 cyl diesel ,5 speed fairley overdrive land rover that needs a new home! It still has english plates on it and the motor is in the back!My husband and I bought the landy in england in 96 and drove it allover europe and africa. We couldn't bare to part with it so brought it home. My husband had started working on it but time and family/work commitments have made this impossible. We need it gone as the real estate want it out of the yard! So i am contacting you guys to see if anyone wants it? We do not want anything for it just whoever wants it come and get it! my only other alternative is the wreckers and I would hate to see the old girl crushed and dumped ! any one interested ? my email is lsandslbrown@westnet.com.au Cheers Sue

Hi Sue
Welcome aboard to the forum.
I am a bit too far away to help directly as I am in Tasmania, but there would be a few AULRO members around you that would be keen to have the chance to get a Land Rover like yours to restore.
Hope you can find a home for it soon.

How great is this offer!!! With most people wondering what their old Land Rover is worth here is one that's quite genuinely "priceless". It's "worth" has been realised in trips already completed, so now it's being offered on the basis that someone else will get to write the next chapters of it's life. Brilliant ... and commendable.:TakeABow:

I had thought of asking you guys, but I think time is a killer on this one as you head off on your trip tomorrow, unless you can fit it in today.

Cheers, Mick.
