td5 check engine light

Hi,

What does it mean when it lights ?

My 110 2005 is tuned as the below :
Egr removed
Hybrid turbo
Middle silencer removed
Alive intercooler and MAF
psi power box (on the ECU )
Ummmm. What else is there :)

a few days ago i notice this light comes up after my engine cough !! I was on the highway so i stopped and shutdown the car and wsit for a while then start it on again . It worked fine since that day , today the same thing exactly happend twice in the morning and again in evening !!
where to start and what to check

Is that the light the looks something like the Chevrolet bowtie?

Total guess, but check the connections at the ECU.

When my TD5 cruise control plays up, it cuts the engine to idle & this light comes on. I need to pull over to restart it, which resets it all.

Yes, it simply looks like engine diagram .

I will check the connection tomorrow .
Any suggestion beside the connectors ?

find someone with a natcom or similar that can read the fault codes. that will tell you exactly what's causing the light to come on.
even though the light goes off when the car is switched off and on again a log is stored in the ecu.

land rover mechanics can do this too.

will save you doing it by trial and error

Yes i will but you know ,, it seems better to buy a diag. Device like nanocomp that as you said will save a lot of effort and in the long term will save money .

Ha mate did you have these mods fitted, I am interested in a turbo upgrade in the future. If so how much difference has the Hybrid turbo made and which company did you turbo come from, is it a VNT or a larger more efficient turbo.

Yes these are all fitted , the turbu is vnt I ordered it from bellautos maybe 6 months ago its just a stright replacement of the original, and about the performance,, umm yes you feel the deference and maybe no coz if you just fit the turbo with no other mods. So dont expect improvement or maybe not noticable However if you did the rest of mods. And tuning then the original turbo wouldnt blow/produce the expected power out of this mods. In this case upgrading thr turbo become a must and you will feel a deference .

my vnt as i stated comes fom bellauto co. They are very cooperative and excellent after sale support and services the incharge manager or maybe owner his name is Pete.

the over all performance is great but i dont know what term i shall use to explaine the current performance , but simply it becomes an on road and highway car it accelerate very well and no more complains from other drivers in the street to move on :) .
