Puma spotlight wiring

Where is a good place in the wiring of 2012 puma 130, to tap into power for spotlights? Ive got the relay sorted- need a solid supply to power the lights.
Will I need to run back into the battery seatbox?
Tried a search- but perhaps there is a post on this topic the search missed.

Either from the starter motor power feed or the back of the alternator

I have the supply coming from the battery, I got an auto electrician to wire them in, so I never made the decision and he was probably charging per second / cm of cable, I think the cost of wiring them in was pretty close to the purchase price of the lights. But they work :)

I put my relays on the left hand guard, ran my main power down the left hand side of the chassis and direct into the battery box, the switch wire ran along the top of the bulk head and into the back of the dash. I now use a pre made up loom,( arb,hella, light force) for $60 odd dollars they make the job a hell of a lot easier and neater. Run both spotlight wires to the left of the radiator and along the grill, make sure you have everything cable tied and you won't have an issue.

large grommet port side upper fire wall/ eng bay....

this has multiple nipples , some are vacant for use.........

removeable panel under passenger grab rail will give u access to inner fire wall / grommet to run wiring.

I fitted a "blues seas; marine grade fuse block , this will accomodate multiple accesories ,, should you wish to fit plenty of xtras in the future... will happily slot inside battery box out of the way ,,


run power from batt to blok .........../ lights etc etc

that removeable panel under the passenger grab handle/glove box gives great access to the inside of the dash. I ran the wiring through the large grommet (as you suggested) and across to a switch, installed right side of the streering wheel without removing anything but the panel.

Took the main power supply direct from the the battery under the seat.
