Our solar HWS is just on 12 months old...and tonite the 'tempering valve' has packed it in.
Most of them fail in the HOT position, but some, (mine) fail in the 'cool' ... After 45 minutes with the booster on, and no use from the preceeding 4 days, I'd expect HOTTT water. Got cool. :mad::mad::mad:
This legal requirement for a Tempering Valve is yet another Nanny-feature gone stupid.
- Naturally, a certain Queensland manufacturer (of nearly all the valves in Australia) had 'no' part in that legislation...
Replacing said valve every 12 months sort of defeats the savings of a Solar HWS...
