Slow water crossing.
Slow Water crossing video by RangierRover - Photobucket@@AMEPARAM@@http://vid293.photobucket.com/player.swf?file=http://vid293.photobucket.com/albums/mm50/RangierRover/SlowclubatCoolahTops.mp4@@AMEPARAM@@vid293@@AMEPAR AM@@293@@AMEPARAM@@mm50/RangierRover/SlowclubatCoolahTops@@AMEPARAM@@mp4

This is a short video of a slow water crossing on our way back from a beautiful family outing at the "Pinnacle" Coolah Tops on the same day as the last image above. -4.7 was recorded at the main House under cover so may have been closer to -8 at the camp site. We came home to discover a pipe busted and all the water drained from the gravity water system at the Hilton. The issue was of course very quickly rectified by the Slow Club and the day was saved for the evening ritual showers.

A very sloooooooow BBQ at the tops. Mr HH did a fine demonstration of making smoke signals with the bush BBQ.
Kids (big and small) enjoyed some ball sports followed by a divine BBQ lunch followed by a nice relax in the sun then a few walked out to the Pinnacle to absorb the views before the venture back to camp.

During the day we had several hold ups including more water system repairs, a photo shoot with the local press and then rescuing a certain S11a 109 door mobile from our local mens shed during the trip home. Some of the events that followed are not fit to post here.:wasntme: Especially the following day.

That will be about it from me for now, I'll let the other members tell the stories and events as they unravel.

Sure hope we can do this all again some time. We can always improve on the past trips so I will keep something special as a surprise for the next visit.

What a great trip. Thanks to the Trip Leader, all who came down on the trip and to our Hosts Rangier Rover and family for looking after us all. A special thanks to all who assisted mechanically in keeping the 2a running from lending me a starter motor, getting their hands dirty or towing me to saftey

don't remember the 97.3 kph, but might have been on the down hill run-up to Moonbi :p The workshop (with camper) sat on 85kph (where possible) most of the 13 hour trip home and with the exception of a minor flooding on hot start issue, did not miss a beat. :D

Finally got the box out of the 120 then removed the clutch assembly. Good news.:D The clutch friction plate has literally exploded as in springs and stuff parted company. Damn 4BD1:angel:
Big thanks to the slow club as CC annd MR HH in particular gave me a big start. The transmission hoist and adapter worked a charm. I should replace seals while I'm in there but too lazy. New plate and back in service.

You made me check if I had left mine behind, but that is only a little bottle. My Man size one is here safe and sound.

Speaking of manly stuff. Here is the video showing the difference between the early industrial 4BD1's (In a Man's, man's man's man's Landrover) and the later ones.

:lol2::lol2: Cant get the realman sized bottles around here, you lot must have raided the local bottle shop last week:lol2:

Damn Isuzu's, the keys just rattled off my laptop.

Was interesting hearing the two together. I think yours even though has a sharper tick tick sound is a lot smother below 900RPM. Drop mine down there and the rivets start to pop out of the body.

Funny, this place feels like a ghost town since you have left. very quiet.

I'll get this 120 out of the way and start on one of the leafers. Pretty keen to get one of the 80" back in commission. Probably the one in the work shop that's bastardised.
Keep it as is working condition and do a full restoration on the latter one with the PTO and original underpinnings.
You'll be pleased to hear I have got AYI into that new shed for now so is being preserved for latter when I clean up that long old shed above the homestead. Damn there is some stuff in there.
