Hi guys,

Running Oxide on a windows ce GPS.

Everything works well, except for one thing. As soon as I travel beyond the bounties of the Adelaide map, Oxide goes crazy.

It will constantly try to load 2 or more maps, and at the top, will constantly read "loading tracks".

This happens no matter what direction I travel from home, so is not isolated to just a couple of maps. I have tried various settings, but not had any luck getting it to lock onto the correct map.

Any ideas?

Have you tried to "Index Maps". It's under one of the settings menus.

Cheers Simon

Hi Simon,

Yes, I tried that too.

The scroll bar seems to start, and then goes back to the beginning, where it starts again. In essence, it appears to not be able to index the maps.

There's an option to set where the maps are located, you can tick or untick about 1/2 doz. locations. Untick the Adelaide map location & re-index. It sounds like a memory related problem, just too many.

In other words, go back to the beginning. Get it working with the world map it came with, them add (tick!) more maps.

Use calibrate maps and onlytick the one you want loaded
