G'day all.
Have not had a flat spotted tyre as yet but I am wondering about the best way to prevent it from happening. We have a dual axle van and it is in a tight spot and jacking it off the tyres is not practical. I thought about putting in max air pressure to stop the tyres from bagging. Any thoughts?
Regards
Robbo.

1. Radials don't flat spot too much.

2. Go on holidays more often.

Hi,
I had light truck tyres on our Dyna camper for many years, they would thump and bump for a few km after being parked for a month or so.
Changed to radials and never had the problem again.

cheers

jack them up and turn them 20.178 times per side every month.

isnt that funny,,
I was told NOT to run radials--
or , if you like,
to only ever run LT's

and this was by consensus on a van forum,,

as for the flat spot,,
can you move it a foot either way?

Um, I use 185R14LT radials on my trailers, never had a problem with flat spotting.

Oh and a reminder not to use ancient tyres on a trailer, if they flat spot they're probably waaay past their use-by date, and may separate. Check with your tyre shop as to their age.

The Daydream has done about 4500km on the factory tyres. They are LT tyres purely from the pressure ratings, 65psi max. 195 15. Chinese made. Nuf said???
