Hi All,

A huge thanks to everyone involved! It was great to see the Endeavour attendees so excited and enjoying themselves!

Can everyone please post any pics they have and experiences of the days events? I need to put together a PDF version of a trip report so that it can be sent to Endeavour and possibly used for a press release/publicity, so the more content I have, the easier it will be! :)

I would like to point out that Webby's closing comment was "Disco's are best" ....(sorry Tony!! :p)

Today cheered me up, I am extremely proud of the effort of all involved, the members of our club and the kindness I have witnessed almost makes me cry.
It's not about donating $$ to a random fund for me. It's the random acts of kindness that is in effect almost free to deliver that makes me smile!

I can't say it enough. WELL DONE!

A huge thanks to Grant and all involved in organising today and to Grimace and X-Box for staying back to man the BBQ and to Harry for being Harry.

I had Tania as my navigator for the morning run and she was an absolute delight to have along for the run and I must say Tania loves a chat - so made the drive very enjoyable.
Tania mentioned that she was looking forward to getting home to phone her dad and tell him of her day because when growing up her dad would often take her four wheel driving.
I hope everyone enjoyed the day as much as I did - thanks again and see you all on the next one.

Cheers

I would just like to agree with Grimace's comment above that Sam and I thought it was an excellent day, and really went well. The smiles on the faces were great! :)

Some pics below. I dont have then of all the attendees, but hopefully between everyone we do. (I am working on sorting the image rotation on the wrong ones...)

thanks all for a great day,
it gave me great pleasure to see all the smiling faces and be part of the day
when can we do another trip?

i don't have many pics, but will post them later.

this was the best form of charity for me,

i was unable to take part in the arvo's trip in the rain forest, duggy doesn't have the ability for that yet,
but i am sure our guests were happy.

a special thank you to kim and dave from Numinbah Adventure Trails for assisting us with the use of their property, please recommend to your friends to take a trip there.
i think busman is trying to organise an Easter trip to this place, it will be a good trip.

thanks Endeavour for allowing us to enjoy a day with some of your friends.

Thanks to Endeavour, Presto, Grimace and Jess for organising the day. And to all the BBQers as well. Great work!

Had a great day, it was really good to be able to put some smiles on faces all the while just enjoying something we get to take for granted each weekend.

My pics are here - 2012-07-22 Endeavour Charity 4WD Day - a set on Flickr (http://www.flickr.com/photos/djhampson/sets/72157630694288844/). Credit to Grant and Josh for some of the pics here... including the ones where it appears that I am connected to a winch... BUT hand on heart I can say I was not winched.

Grant, Josh, Louis and myself went for a drive after lunch but before we'd got too far I got to a steep slippery slope where I just couldn't keep the D3 out of a deep rut. After several attempts at manoeuvring for a better angle we decided just to winch me up with Grant's D1. However, the winch solenoid wasn't keen on playing nice, it was getting late and it looked like raining so we decided to turn around and go home.

I had a major oops moment when I turned into a tree stump as we were leaving the camping grounds. I managed to rip the trims off the passengers side doors and put a large dent in both doors. Off to the smash repairs for a quote this arvo. Thankfully the only injury was my pride.

Edit: I'll have the footage from the GoPro uploaded this evening hopefully. Including a certain V8 Disco with a great soundtrack having a few attempts at the muddy corner of the first track of the day.

Another good day out.

I don't have any experience with people with disabilities (how ignorant am I?) and I was a little apprehensive about the whole thing but Ian had a great time on the drive and the walk up to the cave.

Crappy weather, good sausages and great company :)

The low point for me was getting stuck in the mud at the gate. Those Scorpion ATR's are a great tyre but useless in the mud.

Knew I should have spent more time explaining to Webby what a Land Rover really looks like:tease:

Thanks Grant for a great day and to x-box and grimac for the great cooking and everyone else involved in the organising of the day, it was tops.

The Endeavour people are great and I would be happy to do this again anytime. Talking to Webby who gets up and goes to work each day and lives a productive and happy life, makes you wonder why some others in our community are so incapable.

'tis all good Tony... i had Jamie in with me in the morning who then easily talked Tania and the carer Dawn into jumping in as well. With all exclaiming how comfortable and luxurious, not to mention how easily it tackled all the tracks everyone else were having great difficulty with :tease: Must be a Rangie thing :D

Well I can tell you everyone had great day (especially Timmy as he got cuddles all day!) and I told Larissa to tell everyone at work how much fun it was and how they missed out so next time there might be a few more attendees :)
No doubt Webby wil be talking about it for months to come :D

Thanks Grant for organising the day, sometimes you can come across hurdles with this industry but it all worked out in the end!!
