Our local sport centre in Kingston, Tasmania have included exercise bikes supplied by Summit Fitness.
The equipment are made by The Green Revolution Inc (http://www.egreenrevolution.com/me_photos.aspx'setting=3)
The new machines are expected to save up to 32% of the power used by the present electronic machines at the Centre
There is another manufacturers like Sport Arts (http://www.sportsartamerica.com/) that have Alt Trainers

Perhaps in the future will be a good idea to hook one of this to the solar panel system.

If humans were efficient at producing power you'd imagine they wouldn't have bothered domesticating draught animals, building windmills, or engines for that matter. I'll stick to exercise that involves fresh air and outdoors, I can enjoy that.:):):)
