Does anyone have the part numbers for Bilstein Shocks that will suit a 97 Defender that has a 2inch lift?
I have searched but plenty of part numbers for standard but not lifted.
They obviously exist but those that advertise them seem to have high prices and secrecy about the part numbers

I know there were some special made for LRs wih lift and extra travel. No idea on the part#'s. Alot here run other makes that fit, for example I have konis in the front of my 98 110 that are Toyota Landcrusier 80 series +2inch lift. I think some use a Nissan type in the rear? This may get you started.
Just make sure the closed length will work or you may have to adjust the top mount and or bumpstop

go here (http://eshocks.com/bil_ORsb.asp?Series_Index=Q2&Manf=All&SubChar=Q) select how much suspension travel you need, check the compressed and extended length, get your part number and order from whom ever you like.

They were made for, and sold by LRA in Melbourne.

When I was looking, I could not find a suitable bilstein for my lift so I went with some 7100 Remote Reservoirs. (I'm making new mounts for the eyes).

Check out shockwarehouse in the US and the Bilstein website. I got mine out of the US. Can not remember the numbers of the top of my head, but cross referenced them with Disco numbers etc. People in Australia will tell you they are different, but that is crap. I have a 2000 TD5 with a 2" lift and they are fine. Above this and you may require alternates. Plus less than half the price buying here including delivery to your door.
Defender 2000 TD5 (same as D1) for the front.
Part no : Front B46 0243 Rear BE5 2779
B46 0253's are the rear for RRC and D1, and County 110
For Discoverys :
MA 95-99 and 2 door 89-95 : Front B46 0243 Rear B46 0243
08/99 onwards : Front BE5 6046 Rear BE5 6047

X2 what Craig is saying.
I have those Bilstein shocks on my 02 defender 110 and they are fine up to a 2 inch lift.
And landed to my door for under $400 from the US
Cheers,
Paul.

I know this is an old thread, but as already mentioned the longer Billies were specials made for LRA and Sydney Shocks organised and stocked them too.
If they are true 10" travel dampers you will need to raise the front towers as Serg mentioned too.
Standard length dampers will restrict droop and increase wheel lifting off road when you've lifted your car.
