With the lease up on my Audi S5 I have decieded to get my RRS back from my wife and let her buy something for herself. While I have always loved the sports coming back to it after driving the audi has been a big shook.

Has anyone had a TDV8 chipped if so what have the results been and what was the cost.

I go from a Mini Clubman JCW to my Discovery 4 fairly often and I don't ever feel that the D4 needs a chip. I am constantly amazed at how well it goes.
I am sure someone out there will take your money for a performance upgrade.

Results ...I'd say you'd have to hang on to the steering wheel really tightly. Cost....possibly lots of speeding tickets :p

There's one or two threads on the subject if you have a squiz, most ppl seem happy if that's their leaning - I think typically 225 - 30 kW and 700ish nm IIRC?

 You will never get a diesel 2.5 tonne 4WD to drive like an Audi S5. Not even a TDV8. Yes, many people have chipped them, but there seems to be anecdotal evidence that the 3.6 ltr TDV8 doesn't handle chipping as well as the 2.7 or 3.0 ltr engines, so I'd keep that in mind.
In the end they're very different cars, made for very different styles of driving.
Cheers,
Gordon

The S5 would struggle to go up a gutter, I would never even drive it on a dirt road as the front end is so low. Speed bumps need to be watched at the local supermarket or you get so big front end contact.
But when you hit the highway and the supercharge fires up its hard to beat. I have owned some pretty hot cars in my time but this Audi has been the best on road of them all, i will miss it but do look forward to getting back in the RRS just need to get use to it agian.:)
