As someone who has a D3 2005 SE TD6 that has done over 200K kms and on the balance is a happy camper with the car - what are LR Aust doing ? Every other car manufacturer is releasing information on new vehicles, configurations and very cleverly reducing their pricing. LR seem to be sitting on their hands doing nothing except saying we may release something.

I drove a friends Toureg the other day and can only imagine what the recently announced V8 will go like.

I will be buying a new car in the next six months but it is very hard to know what LR will be releasing and at what price !!

The new Range Rover Vogue (L405) is due out next year, and the new Range Rover Sport later in 2013 or early 2014.
As the D4 is built on the RRS platform, I would expect that an all new D5 would be due out sometime after the RRS.

Mmmm TDV8 Disco 5? :D Sorry, totally unhelpful daydreaming!
On the UK sites you can see the new gear-dial layout etc... But is that coming here, and what kit will the different models have etc, I don't know?

According to the below link, D5 due in 2016 and now based on the Defender platform.

LR are not releasing any details of the MY13 not just OZ but worldwide. No rumours of any changes so probably minor bling.

The D4 and RRS are built on the D3 plarform. The RRS is a cut down D3/D4.

Hi all, Scott here
I rang Melbourne City Land Rover just over two weeks ago and the salesman told me that Land Rover HQ had not informed them of any upgrade for the LR4 in regards to the eight speed, increase power and better fuel consumption. However it would probably in the month of August when details maybe released. He said there would be a 3 to 4 month wait and that most people take delivery after the new years. So he didn't try and make a sale straight up so who knows. Fingers Crossed.

My D4 HSE is due for delivery in late October and it is still build 2012!
Being built over the games weeks which is a worry.
Hopefully their gold will make them perform well in the build factory....

Depends, most of the work force in Birmingham come from/or are Indian, Pakistan, so probably dont really care about the Brits winning golds....

I think it's probably better that I have another glass of wine!
Thinking about it is a worry!
Watch this space in 6 months!!!!
My father bought his first new holden! EH model a long while ago!
Incessant rattle and crash on the rear! Everything checked and nothing found!
Then I lost my metal car toy behind the car seat.
The dealer removed the seat!
Found my car, a tomato sauce bottle plus salt and pepper shakers
Car a much quieter beast after that!!!!
I am ready for that but it's the sloppiness of a bad day bthat worry me most!!!

Try the previous V10 Toureg, a big, big engine.
But not much space in the back of the VeeDub (compared to a Disco).

Just wanted to confirm, there will be no 2.7 litre for 2013 and if so, does that mean the current 3 litre becomes the standard 3 litre and the upgraded 3 litre the Brits have had becomes the upgrade for Australia?
And in saying that will the HSE get the 8 speed. Sorry to bump an old post, thought it would be better then starting a new one.
Cheers Scott.
