Opening the centre console.

Hi Y'all. Well the Defender is gone replaced by a very nice Freelander 2.

I am trying to figure out how to open the center console up to retro fit a nav system in the little cubby hole. I will be looking to pick up a switched power supply.

Has anyone got a method of oepning up the center console area without breaking/marking stuff. I have a nice GPS this is the right size, but I need to route the power supply. Even if you dont opt for the nav pack they ought to make personal retro fits.
