Hi all. Need to get a couple of switch wires through from the front to the
dash for a switch for my driving lamps. Have an air conditioner fitted and
haven't seen an obvious spot without pulling stuff out. Its a 93 110
Any advice appreciated :-)

Pull the dash binacle facia off and you will see right down the back a few grommets where the speedo cable and heater cables go through, just push them out through one of those.

Thanks mate, Sorry for being a dumb a$$ buddy but what is the binacle? The speedo bit?
Does it come out easy?

Just 4 screws, 1 on each side at the top, and 2 from underneath will remove the whole facia where the speedo and gauges are. Pull it forward a bit and disconnect the speedo cable, then push the whole unit out of the way off to the side to gain access.

When I fitted my driving lights I used the hole, as per JC advice, but I easily got to the wire by removing the switch blanks (lower right side of the steering wheel). I found it pretty easy to see the wire and connect up with the dash in situ. Just feed enough wire in to play with.

Excellent! Got all the control wiring done today and easy peezy getting the binnacle off and wires through. Really appreciate the help!
Next question, where is the best place to pick up a reasonably heavy duty positive to go through the relay and onto the lights? Would rather it somewhere close to the relay and from under the bonnet on the drivers side? There is a heavy duty looking relay with some heavy duty wires on it about the center of the firewall right up the top. 70A relay I think. Someone suggested picking up a wire from the back of the alternator but looks like a bit of a ba$tard to get at?
Is it ok to wire the ground from the lights to the frame somewhere close to the lights or should I pick up a proper negative somewhere?

Hi,
you can get a good earth where the Neg strap from the battery is bolted to part of the gear box.
cheers

Don't know if its a good idea, but I have my (Traxide) headlights, winch and driving light earths run onto a short, thick (about half inch of copper) battery cable I had lying around which I then connected to the mounting bolt of the alternator. Everything works well and nothing has caught fire, yet.
