There are conversion kits available over the counter and there has been a few threads on the subject

1. Self-adjusting brake.
2. Self-cleaning brake.
3. Easy to bleed.
4. Easy to change the pads, unlike shoes.
5. Don't fade as badly.
6. Don't suffer from immersion in water.
7. Quicker and easier to inspect for wear.

I would have changed to them myself, if they were not so expensive,

Cheers Charlie

Check the threads out that pop058 has listed. Many hours of reading. There was a lot of research done into an affordable conversion, but it seems the big $$$ commersial one is about the only way to go. Looks good, but worth more than most series to complete....

Agreed all,of the above I like the idea off, cost wise I don't like 500 uk pounds for a set.

I agree that they are way to expensive, and I'm not afraid to spend money on something that I need for any of my 8, yes, 8 Series Land Rovers and as stated they aren't exactly a performance machine:D, anyway cheers Dennis:angel:
Ps I did have set many years ago, they came off a Series 3 mine vehicle ( as used underground) I sold the Land Rover with them fitted, it went to live in the ACT about 27 years ago,,.
