I originally called my 110 wagon "Vincent" just because at the time we thought it kind of suited it… However, it never quite stuck for me, as I've always named my 4WD's female names (probably comes from a prior career at sea).
I previously had an 80 Series Toyota I called "Joyce" and after that I owned a GQ Patrol I called "Gwen"… both because I thought they were kind of Nanna names, and both vehicles were quite long in the tooth at the time I had bought each of them. (Plus I drove them around with a lot of mechanical sympathy, like a Grandpa myself)...
After much thought, I changed my Defender to "Agnes" which I regard as another kind of Nanna name. My goal is to own her forever :D

I don't name my cars or bikes I tend to call them after the model or brand. ie my Isuzu Dmax is The Dmax, the Defender is the Defender or Deefa.
I have 2 Giant TCR bikes that are basically the same model different years. One is known as the Di2 after the gearing and the other is the TCR as I had it first.
I guess when my wife gets her 90 it will be the Deefa and the 90. Can't call them both the Defender. :p

Mum and I both call the County "The County". Everyone else calls it "The Dray" which I don't think is fair. It has never been towed by a draft horse :)
Dad's Puma 90 is generally referred to as "The Cube".

My 1995 110 is white and has 2 lockers, and walks up any thing, so it's called the white walker. Also, don't mind game of thrones.

Our new Red Defender 110 which we are yet to pick it up, so we dont know what will fit yet.
So, currently he/she is called:
- 'VYVYAN' - Red, Rivetted and just a little crazy (the Young Ones)
Other options we have are:
- 'Q' Gadgets, british etc from the Bond Series
- 'Matty' after Matthew Scarlet, the best DEFENDER in the AFL (Go Cats!!)
- 'Angus' the red fire truck from Thomas the Tank Engine
- or what ever my daughters decide when we pick her/him up.....
Loving everyones names and reasons, enjoyable reading.

My 130 dual cab is Harry, as in Handy Harry. The name had to be manly for such a workhorse and British to boot. Harry fits the bill!

My 2013 Puma is called 'the Sponge' on account of the excessive water the front drivers and passenger footwells absorb in even the smallest of rain storms...
