Hi,
I can't help you much with tyres but 18s may not be completely out of the question for you depending on how much off road you want to do.
See:
18" rims for D4/RRS from GOE" (http://www.greenovalexperience.com/18_inch_news.html)
Gordon is a member here, and I am sure would be happy to offer some advice.

Hi Beavis,
There are quite a few threads on this subject if you do a search.
Yes you can get 18" rims to suit your larger brakes, but only through Gordon (Green Oval Experience).
Got them for mine through Gordon, as I also have the larger brakes on my D4.
Very happy. Has allowed me to choose from a larger range of tyres.
Cheers, Craig

General Grabbers are a good option for your 19's. Ive been running them for the last 12 months. They look purposeful, perform well in the dirt and not too noisy on road. There are a few threads on the forum on the GG's.

Is that the gg at2s? If so anywhere good to get them from?

The new Cooper LTZ Zeon's in 255/55R19 are probably the best value 19" AT currently available in Australia. Stronger sidewalls than the GG's and cheaper than the Pirelli ATR's.
Of course, in 18" the choices are a level above ..... ;)

Probably a stupid Q, but do your 18's fit over the factory Bremo's as they are bigger than he 3.0ltr brake package?
I had a client ask yesterday & I wasn't sure.
Cheers

Hi Beavis
I have a RRS TDV8 and was looking at 18" Compomotives from Green Oval.
However, to fit over Brembos, apparently one has to reverse the mass dampers on the brakes which, being a cautious soul, I didn't want to do. 19'' rims are/were as scarce as hen's teeth. and I was quoted obscene figures for a set of 4 (3 damaged) courtesy of a well known LR specialist in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne..... So in the end I fitted GGs. However, Cooper Zeons are now available in 255/19s and I will be buying a set of them since they seem a better tyre than the GG's. Having said all that, I have taken my car through some ****ty terrain on road tyres without any issues whatsoever.

19" wheels are very common on eBay. Should get a set for less than $600. I've even got one set of 4 for $450.

Saw these on Wed, Our tyre supplier dropped in with one for us to have a look at, Sizing was something like 315/50R20 in metric sizing.
They apparently come from the Cooper Tyre Factory, an aggressive tyre, made me laugh tho'

The TDV8 has Brembos and as such 19" is the smallest rim which you can fit. On top of that, there are only 2x types of 19" rims which actually fit!! The parts you're after are:
* RRC502280xxx
* RRC505370xxx
...and just to add to the confusion, you have to go on the part number (moulded onto the inside of the rim) as there are a number of different rims which look identical but don't actually fit!!
As for the tyres, the new Grabbers are getting decent reviews.

Not sure what the "minor modification" is - maybe filing off some of the caliper? :angel: Gordon can chime in here! :)

Hi Beavis_m,
as Jonesy said, check out the link - no mods required to fit to a TDV8 RRS
Cheers,
Gordon
