Hi everyone,
Does someone have a paper copy of the 4107 - Land Rover Series I 1954-1958 Parts Catalogue?
I have the pdf file which is available on some websites. However, some pages were not scanned correctly. Irritating if you are looking for part numbers etc. If you can scan these pages and send them to me than I will replace these in the pdf file and make it available to everyone.

If it has that many errors, it sounds like it is an illegal unlicenced copy.
The copyright on all the OEM Rover Co Ltd manuals are still active.

Just so I know Jim are you a vendor and if so do you have a web site etc?
obviously better to support those internally or advertising when we can...

Hi Everyone,
I am happy to report that a very kind person has sent me scans of the missing or incorrectly scanned pages.
I have updated the pdf file which is already widely available on other websites and forums and made it available on the following websites under "resources", "downloadable books & info".

I also created a bookmark-index. I thought of doing an OCR (text recognition) at the same time but cancelled that as there were too many errors etc. Possible to do, but a lot of work. Don't have that time, sorry.
I will have a look at other pdf files and see if they also have missing or incorrectly scanned pages. Will create a basic bookmark-index for those as well. However, won't be quick and will take me some weeks, if not longer. Anyone has Adobe Acrobat and want to help doing that stuff for your fellow Land Rover nut?

If this is what your after I have a copy I borrowed from the LROCV and also Workshop Manual P/N 4291. Are these what your after?

Re: copyright. My understanding is that: copyright between 1923 and 1977 is dependent on one important fact: whether or not they were published with a copyright notice. Without a notice, these works are not eligible for copyright protection and are considered a part of the public domain.
Unless i'm mistaken, I don't see a copyright notice in the Series 1 parts catalogue.

Unless i'm mistaken, I don't see a copyright notice in the Series 1 parts catalogue.
These manuals and parts catalogues have been continuously produced, printed or distributed by the Rover Company and its successors since the 1940s and through licensing arrangements by others (like Brooklands). As such, they are covered by Copyright protection.
Other documents like Service Bulletins, Newsletters, etc and the like remain the property of the organisation providing them. Sometimes this is spelt out:
"These Bulletins are published by and are the property of THE ROVER CO. LTD."
Often later versions of the Workshop Manuals and Parts Catalogues will have corrections and superseded parts information.
Removed pages may no longer have Copyright protection - but they would be the only ones I would try and rely on as part of the public domain.
Since the late seventies even the Owners manuals (Handbooks) have:
"All rights reserved. No part of this publication may be reproduced, stored in a retrieval system or transmitted, in any form, electronic, mechanical, photocopying, recording, or other means without prior written permission from the Service Division of Land-Rover Ltd."
