Can anyone help me with this problem?

I bought a new fuel tank which was longer than the old one by a centimeter or two :o. Eventually I decided that instead of taking it back I would fit it to the passenger side since there had once been a tank over there and it would be an easy job I thought to drill some new holes and reattach the filler tubing. Then I would fit another tank I was already in the process of repairing to the drivers side and double my fuel capacity.

Easy job I thought but no the fuel filler pipe would not contort into shape. Is this just because it's too old or are they 'handed' and does is there an easy solution that anyone knows of?

The pictures illustrate the issue clearer than I can explain it.

They are handed. I believe you can reshape a driver's side pipe by cutting near the middle, rotating and sleeving.

They are handed, as Mark says (and the LH one is in the same category as hens' teeth). Cut it in two about the middle, and get four inches of tubing (exhaust pipe offcut) to fit, and two hose clamps.

Thanks to all...I'm not seeing your pictures though Geodon...is it just me? Would like to see what you did with yours as I assume that's what is pictured.
