disco 2 surge when under high load

sorry if this has already been posted but my disco 2 td5 auto surges when you put your foot down to pass any ideas

Does it also make a knocking noise accompanied with white smoke? If so check you oil level, might be leaking diesel into the sump and thus over fueling.

As mentioned above...

If its smoking out the back - Delaminating Turbo hose

If its surging and not smoking out the back -

Stuck wastegate or wastegate modulator needs replacement. (Both very easy to fix)

Check your MAF. Dads would do the same.
Cleaned the MAF, and all was good again.
