Hello, does anyone know what's involved in retro fitting the adjustable headlamps to a D2 apart from buying the switch and motors?

Are new headlamps required, is a new ECU required or can the function be turned on in the existing ECU with a Nanocom?

many thanks for any help

cheers

Not sure if the wiring is there on the D2, I know it was on my D1.

I think the motor replaces 1 of the mounting pins?

Its all plug & play.
The wiring is already there, check the extra plug sitting next to the main headlight connector.
All you need are the 2 motors & switch.

Cheers

Does it also apply to the later D2a lights, I have heard there were different ones for adjustable and non adjustable?

Checked it out a bit more and there are different part numbers for leveling and non leveling headlights for the D2a, so it would be a costly exercise

Is the D2a the face lift or the pre face lift?

I wonder the if the motorised mounts for the earlier model pre-face lift could be adapted and fitted to the D2a headlight setup. It would be interesting to see and compare the difference in the setups.

Well, I've just bought 2 motors and the cabin switch so as soon as they get here, ill see how easy it is on the D2 :)

the excitement is kind of killing me tbh ;)

The motors are built into the light unit on the facelift models, maybe they can be fitted?, I dont know.
For me it is not worth the hassle, I do have SLS though.

Thanks Pete, I have tried some wreckers apparently they're quite rare in Oz. I have the D2, can you recall if the motor is the same for both D2 & D2a?

cheers, Daryl
