Hi all,
Had the need to undo the brake bleed nipple this morning on the D1, V8 w/ABS. Unfortunately, couldn't budge it because it's mostly been rounded off some time in the past.
Any suggestions for how to undo (and then replace) it?
Thanks in advance!
Steve.

In the past I have removed rounded items by trying differing size sockets until i find one thats a little smaller than required, then gently tap it into place......Has worked many times just remember that you do need to use 6 point sockets which at that size should not be a problem

Thanks Kev, I'll give it a go.
Are the brake bleed nipples a standard item or do they require purchase from a LR place? ie, does anyone know where I might find a replacement? (I've tried Google but I can't seem to get an answer if they're standard. I suspect they're not ;))
Cheers,
Steve

I've used vice grips on bleeder screws in the past.
It'll kill the screw and you're up the creek if you shear the top off:(
Any brake sevice should have a varierty of bleeder screws on hand.

Sometimes using a pipe spanner can help with stripped bolts/ nuts . Or if your using socket use single hex not multiple hex .
Hope that helps

Get a pair of small vice grips and clamp them on to get it off give it a good soak in wd40 too
