Ok now the you have been to the 4x4 show. Tell us your thoughts.
Did you find a bargain or did find it was over priced / equal to normal retail.

I found the most merchandise was only discounted by a few dollars.
I did find after some research thou a camper trailer "Show Special" was $ 1500 over the normal retail walk in off street price. There was no extras included. And to add it the sales guy at the show said it was 2013 release and thy marked down the price just to get a few orders from the show. Go figure that one.

You can get people to think they are getting a bargain and if enough attend a percentage will buy. Many years ago I worked in a shop and the 1st thing of the day was the SALE flag out, it was out every single day of trading and customers would walk in and often ask when does the sale finish , I don't want to miss out.

I was there yesterday mainly for the fishing gear and was disappointed with the range of item and the prices. As usual worstling was there selling rubbish marked up at inflated prices. A mate was looking at some battery chargers and couldn't get any staff to help.
lots of camper trailers there of all shapes One highlight was seeing a monster truck blow a rear propshaft. Overall 6/10
*ps - Bring your own tucker as the food is very expensive

Agree that quite often there are very few bargains at the show but that's every year, I go to be able to view all the brands under one roof and to see any new products so I generally use it as an info session, although that doesn't stop me from pulling the wallet out occasionally. I don't know what every one else's thoughts are but was it substantially busier this year than last?
Cheers
Julian
