This may be of interest to others with one of your gas setups.
Could you tell me the procedure for setting the idle mixture, assuming it can be done by ear. The idle speed & quality when cold has dropped. I've replaced the air filter & put in your recommended spark plugs but still no good. Dizzy & coil are a scorcher unit, & leads are 3 year old bosch sports. Holley with no choke idles fine on petrol after 30-60 secs when cold.

adam

The idle mixture adjuster is the brass knob sticking out of the front cover to one side, turn anticlockwise 1/4 turn at a time, if idle speed increases you are richening it towards correct, if it slows down you are richening the mixture beyond correct and need to turn the knob clockwise instead. The correct setting for most applications is when the knob has been turned richwards to maximum idle RPM but no more than necessary. If you get this right you should be around 3% CO at the exhaust.

If you cannot get a stable idle you may need to remove the front cover (Philips head screws) and clean the interior behind the rubber diaphragm with carby-and-throttle-body cleaner. Some LPG sold is full of gunk that sticks up the works

PM me your phone number if you have further trouble.

If you haven't fiddled with it then it won't need resetting. If you HAVE I'd rather talk you through it rather than type out a complete procedure.
