Compressor Guard

Are they a good idea? Having looked at pictures of the prospeed one I wondered if they might cause the compressor to overheat.

Who supplies them in Australia?

Yep, good idea. The GOE guard fits easily, and I doubt it would have much impact on temperature. The location of the compressor does not lend itself to good cooling for the unit anyway.

The GOE compressor plate is open front and rear to allow normal air flow across the area, so will have no effect on cooling. This also allows you to quickly clean out any accumulated mud etc.

My GOE compressor plate has a few decent scratches on it from a recent trip in the high country - reckon it paid for itself on that one trip. :D

Where is the factory suspension compressor located under the vehicle exactly? I have been under there and can't seem to find anything that is exposed. Seems everything g under my vehicle has a plate over it.... Is this normal?

Passenger side just in front of the rear wheel. It's a black plastic cover that you'll see, unless a guard plate is already fitted.
If you look further forwards on the same side you will see the air receiver/reservoir for the system, a long cylindrical tank.
In this photo you can see my plate and the factory plastic cover is outlined above it.

Does the guard use the same bolts as the original guard?

I have APT sliders on, just wondering if they would be in the way with the GOE compressor guard.

Uses same bolts as sliders. May need longer bolts to cover both the slider and plate.
