Hello everyone, just wanted to say hi.

I am a 2nd year apprentice technician for a Land Rover dealer
in Melbourne, and my mind is spinning on cars 24/7.

In a bid to improve myself on general knowledge and work
I decided to join you guys here so I can maybe
help out some people with their problems, and learn
a thing or two from you guys as well.

So I look forward to hopefully becoming an active member
in your community and help out as much as you can.

I'll try not to be as dealer biased as possible, because I know
you guys probably don't like us, hahaha.

Cheers!

Haha yeah, can't give too much away though... a few service managers
peer through these boards and I wouldn't like to get in trouble if I was
found out! Haha

Just what we need!
To be honest, I'm surprised more dealers and aftermarket manufacturers don't have a larger presence here, this is where it's at as far as the green and gold badge is concerned ;)
Cheers, and welcome.

They are probably scared someone might say something they aren't allowed to, or share information they don't want their customers to know about.

There's a few things happening within LR at the moment I'm sure they don't want the public to find out about.

Welcome and hope you enjoy the fellowship and humour!:D
No-one would expect you to divulge commercial -in-confidence material -and you need to repsect your employer's situation at all times.

while this forum is a 'broad church' worshipping at the altar of the green oval:eek::wasntme: it is especially useful for those in the know to provide technical tips occasionally...

I hope you do well in your apprenticeship ---you never know---you might just learn some short cuts here which will make you a hero in your workshop!:D

Ahh, you mean getting the 4.4 TDV8 into the current shape Defender in time for the 2013MY.

It'll be a tight fit but worth it in the end.

An yeah I guess I sorta did double up on my wording there

Haha, that would be pretty cool.... Except that the 4.4's are probably something I shouldn't talk about much. Hint hint

Welcome LRTech23,

Hope you enjoy your participation on here. If anything you can dispel some of the rumors and pass on some facts about how a large workshop deals with client and product issues.
