Hello,
I have a 2003 Land Rover Discovery and it looks like the head gasket has gone.
I can see water spurting out the back of the engine when its running and a considerable amount of water is coming out. Seems to be pumping out as the engine piston cycles....

I assume this is the problem any advise appreciated. I am looking for someone who can do this work for me at a reasonable price.Payment would be cash.

I am in Keilor,Victoria and you are welcome to repair it at my place if that works for you.

Would suit retired mechanic, land rover specialist, etc...looking for some extra cash..Please drop me an email if interested ..stating price to fix, time to complete, etc....
Person must be capable of doing this job ....no first timers.
regards

TD5 or V8? Doesn't sound like just a head gasket to me.

If its a TD5 I would be looking at the heater hose behind the turbo, right hand rear side of the head as you look at it.The heat from the turbo effects the rubber over time;););););)

X2 what LandyAndy said, I thought mine had done the head when I first got it and it doesn't sound like it at all.
Lucky, head gasket isn't a cheap fix
Best of luck, perhaps we can get this moved to the D2 section?
Might get a bit more attention there :)
