Currently running a Century but I have the option of getting a cat battery for trade price.
I have had a good look at their battery range and there are a few that will fit and they are 700cca plus so should do the job but......
Does anyone know what the original battery specs were for an 02 xtreme Defender?
Mine lasted about 5 years and I remember it being longer and lower than the usual start battery
I am after L x W x H.
Or a link to the battery and specs would be great.
Oh, and the original manufacturer would be good to.

Cheers,
Paul

I have replaced the batteries in a TD5 Defender and a TD5 Discovery with one from Alco Battery Sales. It was a 31-900 model with 900 CCA and 180 minutes reserve capacity and measured 330 x 172 x 242. I'm fairly certain the specs were very similar to the original, certainly the size was identical.

Thanks very much for that.
It will give me something to go with.
I have the Cat battery chart with specs so they hopefully will have something similar.

Cheers,
Paul.

I think the original battery is a Delphi Freedom, 12V 110Ah, CCA 800A, Delphi part number 19001340, LR part number YGD100860

There is a Cat battery that is 880CC and same size as original (2000 defender) looks to have come from the same factory as the OEM.
They are by far the best value battery on the market in my opinion. Would not buy any other brand for any use.
If you like I will have a look at the code.
You will get 5 years with no problem.
