There was someone on here a while ago who was lookin at/for something similar to this if I remember correctly.
I wonder if this is the end result.

I'm curious what the approach to building this is. It looks longer than a 130 chassis, so do you start with a whole different longer chassis or modify a Landy one?

I had a booking on this two years ago when we went to Tassie for our 25th wedding anniversary. We got a phone call a week before to tell us that it had broken down and that our tour would be cancelled.

I believe the duel wheels was to up the load capacity for the extra row of seats , and all the gear that was required to be able to go on railway tracks.

Having spent a while talking to the guys who maintained it while it was on the railway, the dual wheels at the back were primarily to maintain traction on the railway tracks as it went around some of the sharper corners. Apparently the single wheels would occasionally lose contact with the rails.

Looks to have the rear wheels around about the middle of the two rear ones on the LRPVs.

Cut and shut the original chassis.
It would need half of Tassie to turn around.
