Today I while doing a oil change on the Defender I noticed a small amount of coolant on the passenger side chassis rail , After some investigation I noticed it was coming from the heater , Looks to be the valve . It’s not a huge amount it’s about a drip every few seconds. I can’t tell where it’s coming from but it may be coming from around the hose clamp its forming a drop at the bottom around the mounting screw. Is there some sort of issue with these units? Do I just replace it or is it something simple like a loose clamp. It only happens when i turn the heater on hot .

I'd start by replacing the hose clamps with proper ones. Also have a look and make sure it isn't the matrix itself that isn't leaking..

I'm pretty sure its that valve, as its only from the back of it somewhere, I'm also thinking hose clamps.
