Hi Colleagues
Can I mix front and rear tyres on my D4 please?
I have two complete sets of wheels/tyres for my D4 – one set with road tyres and one set with off-road MTR’s and have been swapping each set to suit the trip.
I have just destroyed two of my near new Goodyear Wrangler 255/55R19 MT/R tyres in quick succession (sidewall damage) and can’t seem to source any replacements. Understand that these tyres are no longer being manufactured and are permanently out of stock globally.
The remaining three are in near new condition and I am looking for an opportunity to make best use of these remaining three.
I am wondering if I can run two of the remaining MTR either front or rear and some other close matched brand on the other two wheels? Can I do that? Would it be wise and legal? What might that other tyre be?
Or am I being silly and just need to bite the bullet?
Appreciate any wise suggestions please – cheers David
