reverse wire

Hi there.
I am hooking up a reverse camera and am wondering if someone can point me in the direction of the easiest reverse wire location to splice into for the head unit/monitor connection.

If it is wired camera, I just ran the monitor all the time from an ign on source and connected the camera power wire to the reverse light wire near the taillight.
My Ebay monitor remains dark until it receives a camera signal, although now it is quite old ( 5 yrs plus )I notice that it flashes a bit at night.
