There is plenty of info on changing the Gems fuel pump with a generic type.
I need to know if a generic pump can be fitted to the Thor pump sender unit.
Has anyone done this or can anyone post a clear picture of a Thor unit.
Today I had a strange occurrence, driving at 100kph for over an hour, without warning the engine just lost all power and I rolled to a halt. The car started ok then died again. I could not find anything obvious so tried to start again after a couple of minutes, the engine fired up instantly. I carried on my journey, another hours drive with no dramas.
I am thinking fuel pump any ideas?

I would also look at the fuel pump relay. The yellow relays in the late P38's and D2's are legendary for their unreliability. Swap with a compatible one e.g. fan relay.

No, Thor runs at a higher rail pressure than Commodores,14CUX etc.
You need a high pressure pump.

Maybe this one or the Walbro
