My 2010 HSE is blowing warm air from top air vents in roof (2nd row) while the control is set to cold. Doesn't matter if the driver has control or the people in the back. Is this normal or as I think should be cold?
Any feedback would be of help. Oh the booklet is of no use on this matter.
Cheers

Rollin Over,
I know you said the control is set to cold, but do you mean the roof one or the front console one?
The roof has a temperature controller as well, not sure if you know.;)

Yeah Pete we had the rear controller set on cold and fan Hi, and up front we had the air at 20c auto and the rear was off auto. Spoke to my dealer but they aren't sure if the top vents are meant to blow cold air or just warm air.

Did an experiment for you (only owned it a week so wanted to see what it did) on my 2005 D3 HSE rear air. Note engine was not hot.
Turned front to full hot on auto setting in front. Rear was set to control by back controls.
Front was blowing normal temp air (room temp but defiantly not cold). Rear was set on cold temp setting.
The rear was blowing freezing cold air.
Hope it helps.

From my understanding the rear air has its own air con unit, but does it share the same compressor? if so it shouldn't be too bad should it?

Had tried ac again today and confirmed the top vent feel like its blowing hot air when controls are set to cold, had to turn it off. ac pipes under car are hot and both pipes in quarter panel are hot. Hope the boys at LR Newcastle can find the problem.

No don't think so. The name doesn't ring a bell but only been here for 5 years. Great town.
Keen to hear your thoughts on Newcastle land rover service. Bought the D3 there a week ago. Good to deal with in sales but wondering what the service department is like

Not sure if the D4 is the same, but my D3 you need to push the button for the air con twice for the rear to work.
The button has a pic of the car with wind blowing lines inside it, its about level with your left knee. The next switch is the OFF switch.
Hope this helps.
Cheers Ean
