It looks very neat doesnt it!? I like the gardner across the grille.. :)
(same script etc for LAND ROVER would look good.)
They say a gardner diesel is nearly unstoppable still chugging after being made for ww2 searchlights etc (and just about everything else!)
I thought that (apart from being a very heavy motor) they were very tall, didnt think it would fit under the bonnet but seeing this it would seem I was wrong... love to hear it going and see performance etc..
does it still have LR box etc? (I dont know them well enough to know how that would fit...)

This looks familiar. I think I saw it in one of the British magazines once. Gawd, it's beautiful. I bet it can climb trees.

They only rev to around 2000rpm and max power develops around 1250 if I remmember correctly . They are the rolls Royce of diesels and my first choice for any boat. I have seen a 6lx hand started with a crank and dropping in a cylinder at a time until running by itself. I think I will blow it up to a poster for my workshop tis a beautiful thing :)

Some of the engineering is pretty special.
Look at the attachment of the exhaust manifold... not going to have to die grind out the webs on that one ;)
