Anyone else seen this:

2013 Nissan Patrol On Sale In Australia From January, Starting Below $85,000 | Reviews | Prices | Australian specifications (http://www.themotorreport.com.au/55008/2013-nissan-patrol-on-sale-in-australia-from-january-starting-below-85000)

It reads like a disco- 4wd settings, HDC etc.

Looks like a good price however compared to D4 and LC200. May give both companies a run for their money.

Sorry mods if this should be in the RSS feed section (only looked like RSS bot lives their)

There's been a few threads and discussions, particularly there being no diesel option.

The big sucker is aimed mainly at the Middle East and hoping to break into the US market, and IIRC the Y61/GU wagon and ute will soldier on alongside it for commercial use here.

I like the ''less than $85,000'',wow,it's good to see family 4wd wagons are so cheap these days,Land Rover should reopen the D1 line with the TDCi fitted and sell them for 40K,they would not keep up with demand. Pat

Thats one ugly wagon. I do wonder how these big design changes get the ok by all the required decision makers.

"Gasp!" that is ugly, for me it's taken the crown from the Mitsi Paj.

It's the new Nissan 200 series, made in one of those Chinese factories that take the ugliest bits of everyones cars and turn them into one even uglier pile of poo.

Read the write up in the Suns Friday auto section.? http://www.carsguide.com.au/news-and-reviews/car-reviews-road-tests/2013_nissan_patrol_first_drive_review
Not a overly good review.

Probably the same ones making the new defender, Bob:)

Yeah that is a shocker. Looks like they poached the Sanyong design team.:wasntme:

I also read with interest, the comments regarding 140kg tow ball load limit.
That'll go well with the Grey Nomads! My little 90 is rated at more than twice that!!!!

Won't stop 'em sticking 30foot of van on the back. "If the jockey wheel can hold it up surly the Nissota can pull it?"

You'd be surprised. My oldies changed to Land rover primarily because of the changes to rules regarding tow ball weight - applies in NSW ( and Qld? ). Basically their Troopy and van were uninsured whilst in NSW due the Troopy's (then) pathetic rating. Not a good thing when you have a big percentage of your money tied up in it.
